Overview :

On Patagonia , adapted from Introduction of Footprint Handbook on Patagonia :
Squeezed between two oceans and split by the tail of the Andes in southern Chile and Argentina , Patagonia is a land of vast horizons and limitless possibilities . Its windswept lansdascapes are cinematic in their beauty , and its immesity and sprawling emptiness are at once liberating and lonely . No wonder it has attracted pioneers and runaways from the modern world . From Welsh settlers , to Butch and Sundance ; from Brue Chatwin to Ernesto 'Che' Guevera riding the Ruta 40 , Patagonia invites Adventure !

Come join me in this once in a life time, epic journey of Patagonia ! Patagonia is so vast and there are so many wonderful places to explore with still-to-be charted frontiers with limited access to tourists .  I have carefully curated this month long expedition to include places that may inspire and awaken oneself to higher heights , perhaps memorable lasting friendship and fellowship may be forge through such a journey together as we traverse interesting and dramatic terrains and connect with mother nature .

2. Health Matters

Vaccinations :

Yellow Fever Vaccination - Recommendations and Requirements -

Country Entry Requirements for Yellow Fever Vaccination differs from clinical recommendation for yellow fever vaccine based on possible risk of exposure when travelling to the country .

Both Chile and Argentina Patagonia is Yellow Fever Free , Iguasu Falls is not .

There is no Yellow Fever Vaccine Requirement to enter Argentina and hence Buenos Aires , however it is a requirement for those rentering singapore from a yellow fever country (argentina ) to have proof of the vaccination , though from checking with travellers they dont check ( if using automated passport clearance ) . Buenos Aires Airport does not check for proof of vaccination .

Singapore Law says : All foreign nationals and  Singapore Citizens, aged one and above, who have been in or passed through any country at risk of yellow fever in the six days before arriving in Singapore, are required to have a valid International Certificate of Vaccination for yellow fever and present it to the ICA officer at the point of seeking immigration clearance.

Please obtain your Yellow Fever Vaccination if you are travelling to Iguazu Falls . Local Tour agent still recommends Yellow Fever Vaccine even if you are doing only Patagonia as there can be sporadic cases occuring in the whole of Argentina / Buenos Aires .  make sure you obtain your vaccination at least 10-14days prior to the trip .  SGH travel clinic :  $199 for yellow fever vaccine +$36 for consult/admin fee . TTSH travel clinic : $198 for yellow fever vaccine + $13 for admin fee. If you are above 60 years of age and have other medical issues , you need to make an appointment before visiting the clinic as a Doctor's consultation is needed . Separate consultation fees applies . ( TTSH $68 ) .
Yellow Fever Vaccine Certificates (YFVCs ) are considered valid 10 days after vaccination.

Malaria Pills - Malaria Pills is not required for the trip and not required for visit to both Argentina and Brazil side of Iguazu Falls . However mosquito precautions such as insect repellent , wearing long sleeve shirts and pants are strongly adviced .
