Highlights

Everest Base Camp (EBC) is the bucket list for most people for a reason - nothing quite beats the Himalayas!

It is one of the more famous treks and highly popular trek. The trek is not very difficult in terms of terrain and there are comfortable teahouses along the way.

The EBC trek brings you through the Khumbu Valley while in Sagarmatha National Park, granting you views of 4 of the 6 highest peaks in the world (Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu) and more!

However, it can be a tough trek due to its long number of days and high altitude, the highest point being around 5640m. One will face a different set of challenges in terms of dealing with the altitude, number of days in the mountain and weather at such height!

It is relatively easier than Kilimanjaro due to the longer number of days you have to acclimatize as well as comfort level at the tea houses.

We have a fixed departure trekking trip in the first two weeks of May in 2019 - that’s the most ideal season to trek, so expect beautiful weather but quite a lot of foot traffic.

At Little Monsters Travel, we believe in

Going local- we work directly with our local partners on the ground who have years of experience doing EBC

Acclimatisation- we built in more days for acclimatisation to maximise the chances of you safely reaching the summit

Outdoor education- a trek is not quite like any other holiday. There is physical and psychological preparation, and the actual trek itself. We hope to prepare you well and support you throughout your entire journey

Pre-requisites

EBC is not entirely suitable for absolute beginners with no fitness or experience because of the altitude.

Having said that, you don't have to be exceptionally fit or experienced. One must be willing to walk 6-8 hours every day and a good mental outlook to embrace challenges and a different environment is required.

Although I am looking to bring relative beginners, participants must be open-minded and be willing to prepare for the trip! I might filter based on fitness/experience also.

Training will be organized and pre-trip briefings conducted to prepare you on packing, medicine etc.

If interested, do RSVP or WhatsApp. A WhatsApp group will be set up to coordinate further details. This is slightly more costly as compared to ABC (Annapurna Base Camp Trek) because of the flight cost to Lukla.
