The Mardi Himal Trek is a relatively new route which was 'officially' opened in 2012. Located just east of the well-known Annapurna Base Camp Trek, the route takes you through rhododendron forests before climbing out to a rugged landscape from 3,300 metres. The Base Camp is located at 4,500 m from which you will be able to enjoy a stunning view of Annapurna South and Hinchuli peaks.

Starting from Kande, a small village in the far western region of Nepal you will take around 4-5 days to reach the base camp and another 2 days to trek back. . You will take around be trekking around 4-6 hours per day. This climb is currently planned for late October or early November, which is the climbing season for Mardi Himal.

It would be preferable if you have previous trekking or mountain climbing experience. Though this is not a technical climb, you will need to be physically fit to complete the trek.

If you are looking for a less crowded trek to push your limit and enjoy amazing sceneries, this is the one for you.
