Highlights

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the most famous treks in Nepal. Together with Poon Hill, it is also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. It is highly popular because of its convenience and easy accessibility.

It is a doable trek of moderate difficulty for relative beginners yet with amazing scenery. The trail goes alongside lush rhododendron forests and high altitude landscapes with the Annapurna Range in view most of the time. It is also a teahouse/lodge trek so there is no camping involved.

One will get a chance to see the majestic peaks of Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Machapuchhre (6993 m) and Hiunchuli (6441 m). The view at base camp is one of the most memorable and amazing in all my trips.

The proposed itinerary is focused on ABC and Poon Hill, which means that sightseeing in Kathmandu and Pokhara is not on the agenda. If you wish for sightseeing in Pokhara, do extend the days.

Training will be organized and briefings to prepare you on packing, medicine etc will be conducted. Please note that although it is a doable trek for "beginners", it is still a challenging and tiring trip. Participants are expected to be able to walk for around 6-8 hours daily with a gradient.

Participants should be open-minded and be willing to challenge themselves for the trip! I would advise based on previous experience as well as fitness.

A pre-trip briefing will be set up, along with training sessions.
