Hong Kong has one of the world's most festive Christmases and celebrates Christmas perhaps the most grandly in all of East Asia. There is a two-day public holiday in Hong Kong, which we will enjoy dry, mild, and even sunny weather. Part of the itinerary for us is to see the fantastic Christmas displays, enjoy authenic Hong Kong food, Christmas shop and have a gift exchange among ourselves on Christmas Night.

When we arrived in Hong Kong I will bring you to buy and taste mochi at Prince Edward. They have different favours i.e. mango, durian, nutella and kiwi.

People say never leave Hong Kong without trying Mak’s noodles, especially if you are a fan of wonton noodles. Hence this shall be our dinner on the night of our arrival in Hong Kong.

For supper, we will go Jordan in the area of Yau Ma Tei for Kai Kai Dessert. It is a casual eatery that specialises in traditional Cantonese desserts. Having opened more than 40 years ago, it's super popular with both locals and tourists. It has also been featured in the Michelin Guide recently.

The morning before we depart from Hong Kong, we shall have breakfast at Lan Fong Yuen, one of Hong Kong’s oldest and most famous cha chaan teng. They are said to be the inventors of the ‘silk stockings milk tea’ (絲襪奶茶 sī wà nǎi chá) and they have a famously delicious pork chop bun to boot. A must visit for anyone in Hong Kong.

Dai pai dongs used to be synonymous with good cheap eats in Hong Kong, but the no frills eateries have been an increasingly rare sight on our streets in recent years. Given that the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department is not renewing any dai pai dong licenses, it’s a decline that seems destined to continue. But grandfather laws are keeping them alive, and as long as this generation is passing down their licence to the next we’ll still be able to enjoy a slice of old Hong Kong. So in support of good and cheap eating we will go to Central Dai pai dongs for lunch.

On Christmas day morning, we will go for hunger games at one of the oldest Dim Sum Tea House. Because at this tea house, there is a need to be kiasu and "chong" to the dim sum trolley to grab your food else you will be hungry while waiting for the next trolley to emerge from the kitchen.
