Here, we will get to try the popular local produce - "cold smoked" omul fish. There are also many other handmade crafts done by locals.

Here, we can find shamanic poles near Shaman's rock on Olkhon island. Shamanism still plays its role in this area. If you travel back in time you may discover, that Shamanism was the dominant pre-religious practice during the Palaeolithic.

We will also get to visit a local village during our trip and meet a Siberian shaman.
 
One of the biggest highlights of the trip is trekking across the ice lake. We will get a chance to explore the beauty of walking on a frozen lake. There is 1m of ice separating you and the water. This will be your best opportunity to be walking on water.

Estimated air tickets cost around $1,000 with a transit at Bangkok. This is based on a flight to Bangkok via Jetstar and S7 airline from Bangkok to Irkutsk.

Itinerary

Day 1 Travel from Singapore to Irkutsk. Overnight Irkutsk.
Day 2 Travel to Listvyanka, visit to wooden architecture museum of Taltsy, dogsledding, snow mobiles. Lunch with Baikal fish included. Fish and crafts market. Overnight stay in Irkutsk.
Day 3. Transfer to Olkhon island. Stop at ust-orda ethnic museum, meeting with shaman. Lunch on the way. Dinner. Overnight stay in Khuzhir, main town at Olkhon island.
Day 4. 4x4 tour exploring northern area of Olkhon island (Kharantsy cape, cape of three brothers, cape khoboy). Full board. Overnight stay in Khuzhir.
Day 5. 4x4 tour exploring southern area of Olkhon island (Ogoy island, Oltrek island, frozen bubbles lake). Full board. Ice fishing. Overnight stay in Khuzhir.
Day 6. Breakfast. Transfer back to Irkutsk. Lunch on the way. Irkutsk City tour. Overnight stay in Irkutsk.
Day 7. Lake crossing tour. 10 km ice hike, at the end you will get official certificates of lake Baikal crossing. Transfer to Arshan. Overnight stay in Arshan.
Day 8. Tour around Arshan and Tunka valley. Swimming in hot springs, ice walk in frozen Kyngyrga river canyon, Buddhist temple, scientific station with 256 satellites. Transfer to Baikal nature reserve in Tankhoy.
Day 9. Hunter ski hiking (1-2 hours), visit to Baikal visitors center. Transfer to and overnight stay in Irkutsk.
Day 10. Travel back to Singapore
