“Hi, it's us, Georgina and Lee Ling”
Thank you for supporting the event. The Event is Full now!
We have this crazy idea for an exploration trip during CNY 2nd day in 2018 and would like to invite like-minded friends to join us this trip if you are keen to have a unique CNY experience.
After reading interesting online articles, including Wikipedia, wildsingapore.com and Pei Yan Heng’s blog on Pulau Hantu, we have the urge to visit this known and yet unknown island of Singapore. Known is because many people including ourselves have heard of this island, unknown is because many of us have never been to the island and not sure what to expect from it.
Pulau Hantu is located to the south of the main island of Singapore, off the Straits of Singapore

Pulau Hantu literally means "Ghost Island" in Malay. It is actually made up of two islands: Pulau Hantu Besar (Big Ghost Island) and Pulau Hantu Kechil (Little Ghost Island), with a total area of 12.6 hectares. It is possible to wade across the shallow lagoon between the two islands during low tide.

Legend has it that the 2 islands were the ancient Malay warriors once duelled to the death and their ghosts are said to wander the islands.
However, today, Pulau Hantu is a peaceful and idyllic getaway for many fishing and snorkeling enthusiasts. Despite its proximity to Pulau Bukom's refineries, a wide variety of corals and sea creatures can be found on Pulau Hantu. It even has a tiny patch of mangroves.
Especially during low tide, Pulau Hantu has representatives of the major intertidal ecosystems: sandy shores, seagrass areas, coral rubble and coral reefs.

As there is no regular ferries to Pulau Hantu, hence we have to charter boat from West Coast Pier to the island. Rates depending on the number of people, boat availability, festive season, and diesel prices among others. We estimated between $38 to $45 per pax for 2-way. We will advise you the actual amount upon confirmation from participants. If the actual price is lower, we will refund you and if higher, you would have to top up the difference. If there is not enough participants to make this trip happens, we will refund the full amount you have paid.
Would also like to highlight that as we, the organiser also have not been to the island, hence we are just inviting you to join us for this 1st-time exploration trip.

I had a amazing trip with a group of friendly and warm tour mates. Carly was such an assuring tour leader. Excellent and safe Vietnamese driver, Jerry. well spoken English Vietnamese guide Tommy. I enjoyed myself very much and look forward for another trip!
Excellent short trip with beautiful verdant countryside and charming local tribal people not corrupted by tourism yet . Be prepared for long drive on narrow winding mountain roads.
Best trip ever ! Everyone laughed and enjoyed the hols as if we have known each other all our lives instead of meeting for the first time ! Everyone kept their cool when faced with an unforseen delay . The scenery at Ha Giang is simply superb . There are so many small towns within the mountains with... Read more
Georgina was great in: 1) giving reminders so that people can un-RSVP for others on wait list to get a spot. 2) giving clear instructions, photos, links on how to get to the meeting point, 3)explaining why everyone had to be on time and what the program is expected to be and when it might end. ... My wife, son and I never regret of signing up this trip. My 8 year old son enjoyed the walk on the rocky beach. Best moment of the walk was that we came closed to the corals, crabs ???? and ???? shrimps. Thank you threeplaygrounds!
