Highlights

Seals lazing by the coast and animals walking into lodges and camps? Namibia is where both happens! Get front row seats to the natural behaviours of wildlife and also the gushing waters of Victoria Falls. Lets experience this entire trip together as I guide you in every step of our safari journey.

Highlights
  • Sightseeing at the 1.7km wide Victoria Falls, the largest and one of the seven natural wonders in the world
  • Trekking the vast smooth sand dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei's immortalized 900 year-old trees
  • Roam Etosha National Park where due to the exceptionally dry climate, animals drink at lakes very often, making them the easiest to spot compared to other safaris.
  • Visiting the 120km long Etosha salt pan, the only one large enough to seen from space
  • Explore Botswana's Chobe National Park, whose best biodiversity make it one of the best safaris where we can find the Big Five (African leopard, African lion, African elephant, black rhino and cape buffalos)
  • Discover ancient rock carvings in Damaraland called Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO Heritage site
  • Strolling around Swakopmund, a rare glimpse of Germany in Africa (we may see seals lying on the beach)
  • Driving through the sand seas of Namib desert, the oldest in the world.

Day 1: Arrival at Windhoek. We'll stop here briefly before heading to Sossuvlei to begin our adventure.

Day 2 & 3: Sossusvlei

Sossusvlei is a tundra made of smooth and sandy landscape with a low volume of vegetation due to the dryness. If I was a photographer, I would be delighted as the natural make-up of this place makes it a heaven for landscape photography.

In Deadvlei, while the trees may have been dead, the remaining skeletons of the trees are mostly black after being scorched for centuries under the sun with no moisture.

Day 4 & 5: Swakopmund, Skeleton Coast and Damaraland

Swakopmund is a coastal town that still retains its architecture from its former German colonial rule. While we are there we'll visit Skeleton Coast, where colonies of seals huddle together and laze on the rocks by the sea.

Day 5: Damaraland

This contains around 2,000 rock carvings and in 2007, UNESCO approved it as a World Heritage Site. This is one of the largest and most important concentrations of rock art in Africa!

Day 6 & 7: Etosha

We'll kicksart our safari visits with Etosha National park, where animals gather at water bodies very frequently to hydrate themselves. I look forward to being able to easily see large groups of animals drinking at the same spot.

Day 8 & 9: Kavango East aka Okavango

Kavango East, where the Okavango Delta is the border between Namibia and Angola. We'll interact with the Kavango people to observe their culture and way of life.

Day 10: Kasane

For our final safari visit, we'll head to the Chobe National Park where the Big Five awaits us. I can't wait to see all of them in one place!

Day 11: Victoria Falls

Last but not least, we will reach the majestic Victoria Falls! We can view this marvel of nature from above via either a helicopter or a microlight. If given the chance, I would cool myself down by dipping into the water at Devil's Pool.
