for the past 3 years, the Turtle Centre has required min 4N stay for the chance to see Baby Sea Turtles. from this year onward, the Turtle Centre will require min 7N stay. whilst more leave will be required (4D), by staying longer, this also helps increase your chances of seeing Baby Sea Turtles! ;)
This is a Volunteer Experience trip, meant for People who would like to combine Giving Back to Nature with Travel.
Come learn about Conservation, Volunteer for Baby Sea Turtles - & if you are lucky, release them to the Sea! We'll do Sunrise Beach Patrols in search of Nesting Mother Turtles. There will be opportunity to do a Sunrise Boat Patrol too. Monitor the Turtle Hatchery where Nests of Eggs found are kept. If a Nest hatches, we will be able to release the Baby Sea Turtles to the Open Sea!
We have identified August as the best time to visit since it has the highest rate of Turtle Nests being laid + as well as Turtle Nests hatching. We are proud to say that during our yearly visit in August for the past 3 years (2018, 2017, 2016), we saw Baby Sea Turtles on all 3 trips! *Please note that Nesting Mother Turtles & Baby Sea Turtles hatching are totally natural occurences that are not within our control and cannot be be guaranteed.
Monday is Trek to Waterfall or Summit View Day! Immerse yourself in Nature. Refresh yourself in the Fresh Waterfall Water / Admire the Beautiful View of Tioman Island Bay. Depending on the Trekking Guide available, we will Trek to either the Waterfall or Summit View. If our group is bigger, we might also be able to vote majority for the choice we want!
Learn about the Turtle Centre's, Coral Rehabilitation Project, started in 2017. Check out the Coral Rehab Tank where Coral Fragments are being grown on structures for a few months, to later be transplanted back on the Reef out in the Bay! Go Snorkelling as many times as you'd like! Snorkelling Gear is provided for your daily use. Pretty nice to go after lunch. ;)
Visit the Lesser Known, East side of Tioman. The West (left) side is where Ferries usually drop all Tourists off. We will be taking a 20min Jeep ride across the dense, uphill jungle to the lesser known, East side. Home to one of the World's Top Beaches, according to FlightNetwork.com!
As the Stray Cat Population has been booming in Tioman, also threatening Nesting Mother Turtles as well as Baby Sea Turtles making their way to the Sea.. the Turtle Centre started an Animal Welfare / Cat Centre to help with Sterilisation of Strays / Pet Cats, to help manage the Stray Cat Population. Learn about why Sterilisation of Strays is important, help out at the Animal Welfare Centre, as well as play mummy to injured / sick / baby kittens & Cats!
This is a Volunteer Experience trip, meant for People who would like to combine Giving Back to Nature with Travel. Some Volunteer Work will include doing Beach Clean Up, helping with Village Recycling. Helping the Turtle Centre with simple housekeeping every morning - ie. watering plants, sweeping. Most housekeeping tasks take about 10-15mins max. Be prepared to help with anything the Turtle Centre might need help with. Things we've had to do previously include: helping to repair broken pipes, bicycles. Gardening. Relocating Turtle Nests due to a Red Ants attack (had to dig and wheelbarrow around a lot of sand).
You can now "Try Diving" (no Diving license required!). a Certified PADI Diving Instructor will teach you the Basics and Need to Knows of Diving, using your Equipment. you will try out your Equipment in the shallow waters on the Beach / Shore, learn the Basic Hand Signals for communication Underwater. there after you will be equipped in same gear as regular Divers to go for your very first 45min Dive Underwater! photo: Klook

Well organised and led trip
Well organize trip by Nicole. Highly recommended to anyone who like to experience snorkeling with whale shark and love adventure trips. Glad to meet many like minded friends on the trip.
If there is a word that I can use, it's SHIOK!!! We had a party organised and almost all of us were at the dance floor. What more can you ask for ?? We were strangers at the start and then we became friends at the end. Nicole, you are the best!!!
