Highlights

Before it erupted a few years ago, I always organize once a year to hike Mt. Agung. It was closed then, and now, it is already open for hiking again. Being the highest and the most sacred mountain in Bali, the journey up to the summit is not easy but yet it is still rewarding. Hope we can do it once at least this year to loosen and warming up!

As Indonesia has opened up for international visitors with the entry point via Bali, I wonder if anyone is ready to travel and interested to hike Mount Agung in Bali? We will also be exploring one of the Nusa islands, Nusa Lembongan. Up high to the mountain and down to the sea!

Itinerary

DAY 1 (SAT, 04/05/2022): ARRIVAL IN BALI
All participants arrive in Bali. Pick up from the airport and transfer to the hotel and check in. Early dinner, back to the hotel, and rest.

Prepare for midnight hiking. We will start our way to the starting point via Besakih at 08.30 pm. Reach around 10.30 pm, briefing before the hike. The hike to the summit usually takes around 6-7 hours, depending on each individual stamina – it is advisable to exercise regularly prior to this trip.

Note: We may have a light activity on this day if everyone or the majority of the participants arrive early.

DAY 2 (SUN, 05/05/2022): MOUNT AGUNG (B,L)
After sunrise, take a break and enjoy our breakfast on the mountain while enjoying the scenery. When everyone is ready, we will slowly make our way down back to the registration post. Approximately, by 13.00, everyone shall be already back to the post. After everyone gathers up, we will head for lunch before going back to our hotel. Rest and free program.

DAY 3 (SUN, 04/05/2022): NUSA LEMBONGAN (B,L)
Early breakfast, pack up, and check out. Today, we will take a boat out at 8 am to Nusa Lembongan, we will go snorkeling (2 sites) – if we are lucky, we will get to see the Manta Ray. After that, we will visit the mangrove as well as one of the beaches in Nusa Lembongan Island. Wash up and back to the main island the latest 5 pm. Drop off at the airport.
