“The raw beauty and majesty of the mountains are always an inspiration to me. I never cease to be amazed whenever I walk up one. Sometimes sitting and immersing myself in their presence is enough. I live for these opportunities.”

This 10-day tour on Iceland's Ring Road will be very different from any winter Northern Lights tour in Iceland that you might already have done in the past. The Ring Road is less predictably accessible during winter and summer is often the best time to take this circular route to see the whole of Iceland. The summer accessibility of the Ring Road will bring us to Northern Iceland, to the ruggedly scenic mountains of the Trollaskagi Peninsula, the beautiful Lake Myvatn and the surrounding geothermal landscapes, and to the stunning Eastern Fjords of Iceland where I left my jaw behind after driving through it last October. The whole experience I had with the nine persons I brought on this trip in October 2019 is unreal! Truly U-N-R-E-A-L! Much as I enjoyed the amazing company (the group was fun, one of the best ever - I cannot ask for more!) the scenes we took in every single day left me questioning: "Is there anything more that rivals what I have just seen today?" And the answer is always, "Yes!" Certainly, Mother Nature has never offered me so much on a single trip.

This is THE COMPLETE Iceland tour!

TOUR INFORMATION

Duration of Land Tour: 10 days

Period of Land Tour: 5 - 14 June 2020

Budget Tour
Iceland is quite a costly travel destination and accommodations are no exception. To make this tour both  affordable and more open to everyone, this tour is curated for budget travellers with the option to upgrade to hotels.

Accommodation with shared bathroom
As a budget tour, accommodations are basic rooms in hostels or guesthouses with shared bathrooms. Some of the rooms are quad-sharing, but most of the time, your stay in a hostel or guesthouse will be a twin or triple-sharing room. In some cases, there will be bunk beds. We will not be staying in dormitories shared with other strangers or groups, so our privacy is still within our group. Breakfast is included.

Hotel Upgrade Option
There is the option to upgrade your accommodation to hotel rooms with private bathrooms. All hotel rooms are twin-sharing except in cases where we need to accommodate the odd person, then it will be triple-sharing. Please note that in the town of Egilsstadir, there is no hotel available for our dates, so a one-night stay in a better quality guesthouse with shared bathroom is alloted. Breakfast is also included in all upgraded hotel stays.
The upgrade option cost is an additional S$600.
If you choose this hotel upgrade option, payment for this option is via online banking transfer to 3Playgrounds.

Allocation of Beds and Rooms
In our allocation of beds (twin beds or bunk beds) or rooms (twin, triple, or quad-sharing) according to our needs, it will be on a first-come-first-served and gender configuration basis.

Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon

This was taken with my smartphone. No special effects or photo shopping - like in all pictures I took in this amazingly beautiful country. The Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon is one of the biggest highlights for anyone visiting Iceland. The blue of the floating ice and the "diamond crystals" are so unreal! When you're there, you just want to stand and stare and just marvel at nature.

Daniel was amazing in accommodating everyone's requests. We had so much fun that we even did some impromptu trips outside the schedule which was so much fun! I am going back with Daniel to Iceland and already looking forward to that trip. 3PG has now become part of my travel schedule every year. There is at least 1-2 trips I plan with them. I really appreciate Georgina and team for this wonderful initiative. It is really incredible to make people from different background feel not only comfortable but enjoy the trip to the full extent if not more. I will very very highly recommend 3PG but with Daniel even more so :-) Read less

At the end of the tour,. I think we got more than what we bargained for.. perhaps that is the beauty of small private tour group. We can have options. The amazing Bolivia salt flat Uyuni with so many untold secrets.. Felt truly blessed to have visited this place. Oh.. we missed out the Inca hiking activity when we booked the tour and realised it only at subsequent tour briefing. It was tough, but feel great overcoming the challenge with 8 hours hike. We have fun together as a group tackling this task. We squeezed a lot more much waking time. During the tour. Evident in total of more than 17 flights just to shorten travelling time. We have food (both good & bad), interesting experience, and great fun as a group of six adventurers and one Daniel Goh. Especially with our exchange rate. I think most of us will find it very hard to have a similar holiday trip for a long time to come. It is really one of its kind with good memories to last for a pretty long time. As least for me, I feel very blessed to have my bucket list with South America fulfilled in 2019 in such fun, such fashion and such great companions started off as total strangers and we can be crazy as children in play.
